Zagime Management Authority Ltd. (ZMAL) was established as a limited partnership on July 16, 2016 as a parent company to oversee a number of subsidiary companies. The business operations of the Limited Partnership are conducted through the Corporation as a general partner. The Limited Partnership and the Corporation are managed and operated separate and apart from the political operations of Zagime Anishinabek.
ZMAL develops land, holds head leases, and provides management capacity for a group of companies.
ZMAL along with Zagime Anishinabek are committed to the creation and establishment of viable and sustainable economic and business entities which will further enhance the wealth and capacity building Zagime Anishinabek and its community
To promote, encourage, and enhance economic investment and development of Zagime Anishinabek.
1. To plan, finance, initiate, develop, construct, own, buy, sell, hold, manage, administer, operate, and promote economic ventures on behalf of the Nation.
2. To create, coordinate, cooperate, and administer incentive programs for investments and job creation.
3. To provide employment and training for members of the Nation.
4. To promote the art and culture of the Nation and generally to improve the lives of the members of Zagime Anishinabek.
5. To promote the economic and social welfare of the Nation by supporting recognized benevolent and charitable enterprises, federations, agencies and societies engaged in assisting the development, both economic and social, of the members of the Nation.
